Suhas Roy has done his diploma in Painting, ICAD, Calcutta during 1953-58. During 1956-66 he studied graphic art under the guidance of S.W. Hayter, Atelier 17 and mural art at Ecole Superior des Beaux Art, Paris. Among the various awards won by him, the significant ones are Annual Exhibition, ICAD, Calcutta in 1957, First All India Graphic Exhibition, Group 8, Calcutta, 1969 Award, AIFACS, New Delhi 1970 Award, West Bengal Academy of Dance, Drama, Music and Fine Arts, Calcutta, 1970 Award, AIFACS, New Delhi, 1986 Awarded Certificate of Merit, Symphony, Hoshiarpur.
