Her art has a personal idiom that borders between figurative form and abstract ideation. Graduated from Govt. College of Arts & Crafts, she uses brush and pigments to construct emotive-scapes of white spaces and fluid lines. She has participated in major all India exhibitions and over a dozen solos shows since 1962 onwards. Some of her major solo shows have been AIFACS, New Delhi, 1963, Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata in ’64, ’68, ’77, ’80, Birla Academy of Art & Culture, Kolkata in ’91, ’95 and ’98. her collection of works is with several private and public collectors in India, UK, USA, France and Germany.
