GenNext - III
The bell has gone for the celebration of the third anniversary of Aakriti Art Gallery but this year the fervor of the event has been refurbished with a new tempo. GenNext III encapsulates a panoramic vision to build up and bring together a global generation who will be the leaders next to give novel direction to the art world.
Last year, it was a pan-Indian endeavour that was showcased in GenNext II. And this year the show blooms into an expedition in the exploration of dynamism in thoughts, plurality of ideas, vivacious nature of concepts and their explicit trend of execution. Forty young artists below forty years of age from different corners of the world have been selected to deliver their creative potentiality on the same platform. Artists from Austria, USA, Canada, France, Poland, Italy, Bangladesh and Pakistan come together with Indian young contemporaries and are ready to initiate a new discourse that will set up the fresh geographical contour of the world art map.
Again GenNext III is not limited only as a fortnight show. It has been exuberantly sewed with workshops and open interactive sessions to form a complete vista of creative journey. As Benjamin Franklin had once said, “All mankind is divided into three classes: those that are immovable, those that are movable, and those that move” GenNext III is the making of that 'move' and with the words of Norman Augustine, “Motivation will almost always beat mere talent”, let's get it clear at the first point that GenNext is not just the hunt for fresh talents but it is a conscientious attempt to instigate that stimulus where talents can rejuvenate and enlighten the whole world with their creative revelation.
