Malay (1961) did the fine arts course from the college of Visual Arts, Kolkata. He has participated in many group shows and has held one man shows in Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Bhopal, Lucknow, Amritsar New Delhi and USA. He has been a recipient of Shilpa Kala Parishad Award in1995, Bombay Art Society Award in 1996 among the prominent ones in his career.
His collection of works is to be found with Mithila Museum, Tokyo, UP State Lalit Kala Academy, TISCO and with many private collectors in India and abroad.
