\'The first subject of my painting is well known to me, the second, a total stranger belonging to another world I have had no access to. But I feel a tremendous attraction towards the world the world of my dream\', says Sadhan, who took his art lesson from Indian College of Art and Draftmanship, Kolkata. \'In my paintings, characters of opposite nature interact and I depict their meeting-separation, laughter and tears, joy and sorrows, victory and defeat, youth and old age through different shades of colour and moods\' further says the painter about his creations, who has participated more than 75 exhibitions so far in New York, London, Humburg, Berlin, Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Agartala and other cities. His paintings and graphics were shown in Inter Graphic\'84, Berlin, India Festival, USA Bhopal Biennale, National Exhibition and Regional Art Exhibition organized by Lalit Kala Akademi. Winner of six awards, Sadhan\'s graphics and paintings adorn many prestigious collections in India and abroad including National Gallery of Modern Art and Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, Birla Academy, Kolkata, ITC, RPG Enterprise. Member of the Society of Contemporary Artists since 1983, he lives and works in Kolkata.
