Profile:

Chhatrapati Dutta has an eclectic manner of handling various mediums. His works are deeply rooted in academia and incorporate ideas of psychoanalysis through his works. His works present a juxtaposition of ideas rendered in a gyrating mass of collage. He deals extensively with memory through his works. The layers of the human mind are explored in his paintings. HE explores the print culture which often influences the human mind Archival prints, woodcuts, graphic novels are extremely enticing to the artist, thus. Dutta negotiates the personal experience/interaction with the world of print culture with his idea and concern over the global. Re-evaluation of the self against the long chain of history is perhaps a habit inherent in mankind. The artist reassesses the position the personal/self as set against the macrocosm of culture.
