An eminent sculptor. A Diploma holder from the Government college of Art & Craft. Kolkata with specialization in sculpture and modeling. Awarded by Lady Ranu Mukherjee. Memorial Life time Achievement Award for Excellence in Visual Arts. Senior lecturer in the fine Arts Department of Shri Shikashayatan College, Kolkata. During her teachership she invented a new method of mass education through folk arts, for which she received National Awards for the successive years in 1979, 1980 and 1981.
