Dhar has been trained in fine arts at Kala Bhawan, Santiniketan. She had a solo exhibition at Mahua Art Gallery, Bangalore in ?06. Her other major exhibitions includes Summer show, Gallery Ganesha, New Delhi in 1993, Bharat Bhavan Bhopal in 1994, Panchadashi, Gallery LaMere, Kolkata in 1997,Visions & Attitudes, Jehangir Art Gallery, 2000, Versions, Zest Group, Kolkata in 2005, Art of Bengal Show, New Delhi, in 2007.


She has participated in numerous workshops, art camps and seminars. She has also published her writings in several magazines and journals and had been a resource person for education institutes, TV Channels and other organisation seeking her expertise. Her works can be found in the collection of Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal, Art World, Chennai, and Calcutta Information Centre and with private collectors in India and abroad.
