Babu Xavier is a self-taught artist and has had more than 30 solo shows in almost all the major galleries across India. He has also participated in the 11th & the 6th Triennale exhibitions, New Delhi, as well as in several major curated exhibitions, works featured in Sotheby?s Auction. Works are in the collection of National Museum, National Gallery of Modern Arts, Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi, Peebody Essex Museum, U.S.A, Victoria & Albert Museum, London, Glenberra Collection, Japan and in private collections. He has been the recipient of the 20th Kerala Lalit Kala Academy State Award in 1990.
