Subrata is postgraduate in sculpture from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata. He has regularly participated in exhibitions at Birla Academy of Art and Culture, Kolkata, From 1998-2005. He has shown his works at AIFACS, 2006-2007. His works are in display at 'Times & Material' organized by Aakriti Art Gallery and Art Konsult at the Stainless Gallery, New Delhi, 2008.
